Cider Crate Tasting Notes:

Smell:  Medium-light sour apple smell, slightly acidic and bitter.
Initial Taste:  Light bite, semi-sweet, tart and slightly aromatic. Granny smith and Macintosh apple flavours evident.
After Taste: Becomes more tart and bitter tasting. Stronger fermentation flavours emerge. Acidic undertones and it becomes somewhat dry. Subtle banana and lemon flavours emerge.
On ice: Same amount of foam and carbonation as without ice. Becomes more bitter tasting on ice, with more of a flat flavour palate journey. Not as dry tasting on ice.

Additional Notes: True to its name, it is a dry cider, so it is a good choice if you desire a dry but otherwise balanced beverage. It comes in a cute ‘stubby’ bottle and is often served with a slice of lemon.

Surely u should know the type of sugar? Is it fructose? I’m diabetic and luv savanna dry so would like some serious professional info. Many thanks

    • Hello Spenceley,

This is not our product, we are just reviewing it. You’d have to contact Savanna Dry directly for that information.

    • Eileen – Each import (it’s from South Africa) has specific provincial restriction. There are still some at the LCBO according to their cider tracker but with the rise of new, local cider, imports like this are reducing in stock. If you like the Banana style flavour, maybe try Heritage Estates.

    • Hi there! Since Savanna is internationally available, the ABV does change slightly depending on the country and where its made.
